Kappa Gamma (Deaf fraternity) was busted for carrying on the Nazi salute and other racial practice. Ketsi Hottle made a good point that I just had to caption it for the non-signers. Interesting read! Thanks to Michael Goldberg. READ THIS Bellamy salute was adopted by the Nazi Party in the 1930’s. This may have been the earliest federal rule addressing what civilians should do to accompany the recitation of the Pledge, but it was by no means the first time someone had thought about it. That distinction goes to Francis Bellamy, a Christian socialist minister who, in 1892, was working at Youth’s Companion magazine. He came up with a physical component to the Pledge because, in fact, he was the guy who wrote it. A few decades after the Bellamy Salute made its debut, fascists in Italy and Germany started doing one just like it. The swastika, a cross with each leg bent at a 90-degree angle, is an important symbol in both ancient and modern religions. It indicates, among other things, good luck, the infinity of creation and the unconquered, revolving sun. By the early 1920s, the swastika had been adopted as a symbol of the German Reich. So wedded to the poisonous ideology of hate, the Nazi swastika is today reviled in the West, although as an auspicious and sacred symbol in the East, the svastika remains popular within Buddhist and Hindu society. With the adoption of Nazi and Fascists parties if these HATE symbols, then WHY Kappa Gamma of Gallaudet University continue these practices to this day? Shame shame shame!!!!
